Stern Pinball continues to push the boundaries of modern pinball with exciting software updates for Transformers: More Than Meets the Eye. With software version 0.94.0, Transformers Pinball introduces a unique competitive experience.

Unlike traditional Split Flipper gameplay, where two players cooperate to achieve a high score, this mode transforms the machine into a direct head-to-head battle!

Two players compete simultaneously on the same playfield, each controlling one flipper:

Player 1 – Optimus Prime: Controls the left flipper and attacks using RED shots.
Player 2 – Megatron: Controls the right flipper and attacks using PURPLE shots.

Both players have their own health bars, and the objective is to defeat the opponent by landing successful shots.

Three Rounds of Increasing Action!

The battle is decided in a best-of-three format, with each round introducing new challenges.

Round 1 – The Duel Begins

The battle starts with a single ball. Both players must hit their designated colored shots to damage their opponent and reduce their health.

Round 2 – Team Attacks!

The intensity increases with two balls in play and the introduction of special Team Attacks.

Players can activate their action buttons by hitting designated targets. Rapidly pressing the illuminated button charges a special attack meter. Once fully charged, a powerful Team Attack automatically damages the opponent.

Round 3 – The Ultimate Showdown!

The final round combines the mechanics of the previous rounds, now with three balls simultaneously on the playfield!

Fast reactions, accurate shooting, and clever tactics become essential as the battle reaches its climax.

The mode also features balancing mechanics that give the trailing player additional opportunities to fight back, keeping the competition exciting until the very end.

What makes this mode particularly exciting is its combination of traditional pinball skills with elements of a fighting game.

Instead of simply competing for the highest score, players face each other in real time.
